I started with a this great digital stamp by Saturated Canary called "Walker in Love." I grabbed my Copic markers and started coloring. I really liked how my shading came out. I think she's that perfect shade of zombie green! After she was done, I started added a few extra touches such as some Stickles to her cuts and some of the letters in the sentiment and glossy accents on her buttons on her boots and her eyes. For her "zombie" eye, I used matte white Stickles. It turned out pretty creepy, in a good way! Here's a close up of some of the details.
Once she was all done, I cut the piece down to fit my card. I then layered some navy card stock behind her to make her pop a bit more. For the card base, I used a olive green card stock splattered with a bit of red distress ink. I picked a couple more pieces of card stock in dark green & brown to finish up the background. I popped her panel up with dimensionals to complete the layout. I debated adding a few sequins but they just didn't feel right. I looked through my stash and found these cute enamel hearts that I've had forever and thought they fit perfectly with the sentiment: "I think I just fell in love with a Dixon." (I had to include a picture...sigh...)
I hope you enjoyed this fun departure from my norm. For those that aren't fans of horror, I hope you appreciated the cuteness of this zombie! I'm entering this card in two challenges that just happen to be perfect for it: CASology - Zombie and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Monster Mash. There's are some amazing designs at both blogs. Be sure to check out the fun! Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you next time!
