Hello Crafters! I have two more fantastic stamps to share from the new Stamping Bella Fall Release. This round of stamps is full of incredible Fall and Halloween images that will all be available for purchase on Monday, September 4th in the Stamping Bella online store. I'm so glad that Stamping Bella is releasing more gorgeous backdrop stamps. These are absolutely perfect for scene building. I also like that you can use these both horizontally or vertically depending on how you crop your card. They are just a little bit smaller than an A2 size card.
For today's card, I'm using the LITTLE “BITS” NATURE COLLECTION and FALL BACKDROP. When I saw this little fox and the pile of leaves I just knew I had to make a card where the fox was jumping around and playing. So I decided to make a card with an Action Wobbler.
I started my card by focusing on the backdrop. I decided to use my Copic Airbrush system as it covers large spaces much quicker than straight coloring. I also find it uses less ink and looks smoother. This is the first time I created an entire background using it and I think I will definitely be doing more airbrushing in the future! I did utilize some masking to make sure the colors didn't overlap. I also added details using my markers traditionally such as the dots on the path. I then swiped my colorless blender over the sky to give a cloudy appearance. I really like how that turned out.
After finishing the backdrop, I moved onto my images. I colored the leaves and fox using my Copic markers and fussy cut around them leaving a small white border. The good news is that you won't have to fussy cut as all of the new Little "Bits" collection have matching dies available. I can't wait to pick those up! Such a time saver!
Next, I adhered a piece of coordinating plaid cardstock to my card base. I then cut down my background image and adhered that to the patterned paper. I decided to pop up the pile of leaves with foam tape. I like the dimension this gives. My little fox went on a Action Wobble. I used the smallest ones available and still had to cut it down. I stuck this on my card and then arranged the two loose leaves next to the image.
Lastly, I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and cut a flag end on one side. This was then popped up with foam tape and accented with enamel dots. Below is a video of the card in action. I just love watching these wobblers in slow motion. So much fun!
So I had to share this next video as "what not to do" and also for a little laugh. I highly recommend applying a stronger adhesive on the back of the image especially if you have to cut the Action Wobble smaller. If you don't, this is what will happen.
Be sure to pop over to the Stamping Bella blog and see more sneak peeks as the design team continues to countdown to release day on September 4th! You can also enter for a chance to win some Bella Bucks! I'll be back in a couple days to share another sneak peek.
